Are you a passionate and experienced Home Manager looking for your next challenge? Howard Finley Care are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Registered Home Manager to join a small, 20-bedded residential care home in the beautiful town of Brecon.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to manage a well-established home that is in the process of being sold. As the new owners take over, this client is looking for a Home Manager who can seamlessly transition with them, ensuring the continued delivery of high-quality care and a smooth changeover. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the home's operation, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and leading a committed team to provide exceptional care to their residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring it operates efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the care team, promoting a positive and supportive working environment.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure the financial stability of the home.
- Maintain strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure that the home continues to deliver high-quality care and meets all CQC standards.
- Facilitate a smooth transition during the home's change of ownership, working closely with the new owners.
What We're Looking For:
- A registered manager with experience in a similar role, either within a nursing or residential care setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
- Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations and a proven track record of maintaining compliance.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
- A compassionate approach to care and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
Qualifications:
- Registered with the relevant regulatory body (NMC and/or CQC).
- Previous experience as a Home Manager in a nursing or residential care setting is essential.
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management or higher.
